Hi, Welcome to the Community Forums! I will try to answer your questions.
Jan 1, 2000 - Obtain your copy of the Longbow Converter • Using Windows Explorer, copy your entire AutoCAD LT 2002 CD to your hard drive, to a folder. Apr 12, 2018 - The good news is that it's totally possible to eradicate the GEDIT 3. Installing AutoCAD LT 2002 on Windows. Download options for the first.
1.AutoCAD 2013 and newer products will likely run on Windows 10. 2016 product has been test in the Windows 10 environment.
See AKN Article I would suggest that if you are considering an Operating System upgrade that you should strongly consider also upgrading your Autodesk products as well. Here is a link to the newest version of AutoCAD LT 2017. You are likely having an issue with your security software if you are receiving this error code. There was a patch that was intended to resolve the error but I have not found where it might still be downloadable. I suggest you disable or even remove your anti-virus/malware software (in a secure environment) to see if the error remains.
If that is the case, then installing an alternate security solution might be the solution for you. See AKN Article.
Runnng: Win XP SP3 Kaspersky ant virus 2010 - downloaded a week ago plus database updates Autocad LT2002 with SP1 update Since putting on Kaspersky get 'Error GEDIT 3' in ACAD after 5-10 mins use when doing multiple ACAD operations. Saw some references in ACAD userforum to a problem, but links are now too old - may ACAD is old, but fine for my use. If Kaspersky uninstalled then I don't get the problem in ACAD. If Kaspersly is disabled (or running) then problem happens I used to use AVG anti-virus and no problem with ACAD, but a problem when it did not spot a trojan that stole my bank card details. Kaspersky found and deleted trojan. So I'd really ike to use Kaspersky but need to use ACAD. I can do the system log stuff and get loads of detail if this would help.
Does this include trying with Kaspersky exited? (not sure if you mean disabled as paused or exited). If it does not work with Kaspersky exited, then it may simply be incompatible. If it works with Kaspersky exited, there may be another solution. For info, Autocad's forum says the following - I stopped Kaspersky by right clicking o icon and selecting exit - and still had acad problem Later uninstalled kaspersky and acad problem went away (it only started when I installed kapersky) Interesting its mentioned in that link Thanks.
Hello how about adding it to exclusions and then see whats the result kaspersky does not check it once in exclusion check the screenshot to see how to do that ALSO PLEASE EVEN IF THIS SOLVES THE ISSUE WAIT FOR ADVICE OF dawgg BEFORE FINALIZING regards I put kaspersky back on and updated it. Then added aclt.exe as a trusted application and get the GEDIT 3 error again. But there are about 6.exe files as part of autocad - maybe I'll try adding more of them, on friday, have to stop now thanks Dave. If that does not work, the only other thing to try is to try to disable Kaspersky's Self-Defence and/or untick DisableExternalServiceControl (Settings - Options) - although of-course, Kaspersky is more susceptible to be killed by malware if you get infected. Other than that, looks like there are not really any further options.
I tried disabling the self defence and external service control and got the same autocad error looks like my old autocad and kaspersky are just not compatible have to revert to AVG on this machine and use another machine with kaspersky for internet shopping / banking thanks anyway.
